My Brain Land Adventures: A Story That Could Reach Your Child’s School

When I wrote My Brain Land, I had one simple dream.

I wanted children to understand that their brain is not working against them, it’s working hard to keep them safe.

Whether a child struggles with anxiety, confidence, worries, selective mutism, or simply finds new situations overwhelming, understanding what is happening inside their brain can change everything.

Children don’t need complicated neuroscience.

They need stories.

Stories that help them make sense of big feelings.

Stories that replace fear with curiosity.

Stories that help them realise that their words are never gone, they’re simply waiting until their brain feels safe enough to let them come out.

That’s exactly why I created My Brain Land Adventures.

A Story Time With a Bigger Purpose

Every month I’ll be hosting a live online Brain Land Story Time, where children and their families can join me for an interactive adventure into Brain Land.

We’ll read the story together, talk about our amazing brains, explore emotions, and help children discover simple ways to understand themselves.

But there is something even more special about these events.

Every ticket purchased helps spread this message even further.

Nominate Your School

When you buy a ticket, you’ll have the opportunity to nominate a nursery or primary school that you think would benefit from receiving copies of My Brain Land.

At the end of each event, one nominated school will be selected to receive books so that many more children can learn about their incredible brains.

Because every child deserves the opportunity to understand themselves.

And every teacher deserves resources that help children feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

Imagine if one small ticket didn’t just help your own child…

Imagine if it helped an entire school.

Who Is This For?

This story time is perfect for:

  • Children aged approximately 4–9 years.
  • Families who want to talk about emotions in a simple way.
  • Children who experience anxiety or worries.
  • Children with selective mutism.
  • Children who are building confidence.
  • Teachers and therapists looking for child-friendly ways to explain how the brain works.

No previous knowledge is needed, just curiosity and imagination.

Let’s Build a Kinder World, One School at a Time

My hope has never been simply to sell a book.

My hope is to start conversations.

To help children understand that feelings make sense.

To help parents understand behaviour with compassion instead of frustration.

And to place My Brain Land into as many schools and hospitals as possible, so that children everywhere can grow up knowing that their brains are amazing.

If you’d like to join our next adventure, I’d love to see you there.

Buy your ticket, enjoy a magical story together, and don’t forget to nominate a school that deserves to receive My Brain Land too.

Together, we can help thousands of children discover just how incredible their Brain Land really is.

If you’re looking for a gentle way to help your child understand their brain, emotions and communication, my children’s book My Brain Land was written just for that. It introduces children to their own “Brain Land” using simple, reassuring language that helps them feel understood. Find out more here:

Remember: before we expect speech, we must create safety. Because when children feel safe, communication grows and speech follows.
