A practical workshop to learn about anxiety in communication and how anxiety affects speech and behaviour. Early recognition and applying steps from when a child is 3 is fundamental. You will learn practical steps you can take to reduce pressure, build safety and support confident communication.

Primary School Staff Training
A practical 1.5-hour training for Primary school staff supporting children who can speak comfortably in some situations but become quiet, frozen or unable to speak at school. I will share practical whole-class activities and strategies to help children build resilience and strengths in all aspects of learning.

In this training I will explain why children experience anxiety in communication and how staff across a busy secondary school can reduce pressure, recognise communication beyond speech creating a consistent approach that supports participation, independence and confident communication.
